All regular members working half (1/2) time or more are entitled to Municipal Pension Plan benefits after 6 months in a regular position.  See Article 10:06 and 10:07 in your Collective Agreement.

Information For All Members

The Municipal Pension Plan has a lot of information on their website.  There are many courses by zoom, there are videos and readings. Please take the time to look at  https://mpp.pensionsbc.ca/ for answers to your pension questions.

For Those Members Retiring in the Next Year

Information for those retiring in the next year our Municipal Pension Plan offers videos and personalized answers to your pension questions in a 30-minute one-on-one phone appointment with a trained representative.

Phone appointments are available to plan members who:

●      Will be retiring within the next year, and

●      Have a pension estimate that was generated within the last year
